Who Is The Atom PAC Endorses The Atom for Mayor of Washington, D.C.
Atom committed to provide better services to Washingtonians; can shrink to atomic size

WASHINGTON - The Who Is The Atom? PAC endorsed The Atom for Mayor of Washington, D.C. this evening.. The group plans to mobilize thousands of volunteers in a major Get Out The Vote effort tomorrow in precincts across the District.

"Originally, our organization was founded by Washingtonians who were concerned about lingering questions about The Atom," said Charles McHutchence, executive director of the Who Is The Atom? PAC. "We still have many of those questions. Like 'Could The Atom's control over white dwarf star matter result in a nuclear catastrophe?' Despite these concerns, no other candidate brings the passion for making DC a better place than The Atom, because he's not a superhero, just a guy who uses science. We will support The Atom in tomorrow's election, but will keep a close eye on him throughout his term."

Who Is The Atom?'s endorsement comes the night before an election that was expected by most DC political analysts to be a competitive race -- prior to the Who Is The Atom? PAC's endorsement. The endorsement was made via a YouTube web video, announced on Twitter at 6:08 p.m.. To date, no other campaign has responded to the endorsement. The Who Is The Atom? PAC will not retract any of its previous statements about The Atom, but cites Atom's lack of ego and selflessness to make DC a better place.

Tomorrow's election runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET). In yet another blow to DC voting rights deplored by the Who Is The Atom? PAC, anyone nationwide will be able to vote for the mayoral election at: http://www.neworganizing.com/node/347.

The Atom Comes Out Against Street Cleaning Tickets in D.C.; Endorsed by Lady Cop!

By BJ July 7, 2009

On the steps of City Hall, Mayoral candidate The Atom came out in against the current practice of ticketing citizens for simply for parking on their street during street cleaning.

Atom gave a fiery speech on the issue after the City's top police officer, Lady Cop, announced her department's support for the Atom. "The current administration is has turned a blind eye toward this issue. That will come to an end when I am elected your next mayor," Atom said. Lady Cop stated that her department would be happy to stop issuing the citations as it would free officers to focus on more serious offenses.
The candidate also noted that the wealthy residents of Georgetown did not have to pay these fines. The Atom put it like this, "It is an outrage that those with the greatest means are not paying their fair share. As an advocate of the common man, I will ensure that this fundraiser for the city will come to an end while also ensuring the lost revenue does not cut the services our residents need."
The Atom is widely considered a rising star in the Mayoral field. Lately, various Atom campaign videos have gone viral on the internet. His support of this issue is widely regarded as a coup for the concerned citizens advocating for reform of street cleaning ticket ordinances.

Atom Defeats Psychopathic Serial Killer

By Deborah Salinberg
The Washington Times
July 6, 2009

BETHESDA, MARYLAND- The Montgomery County Police reported early yesterday morning that Dwarfstar, better known by his alias, Sylbert Rundine, has vanished.

In recent weeks, residents of the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area came to know Rundine as the psychopathic serial killer responsible for a ruthless and widespread murder spree across the Beltway.

Dwarfstar successfully escaped arrest on several occasions, but met his match Saturday night when Superhero and candidate for D.C. Mayor, The Atom, confronted him in Anacostia Park. The two shrunk down to atomic sizes before The Atom distracted Dwarfstar and removed his bio-belt, a device that had enabled Rundine to change between normal and subatomic sizes.

While Dwarfstar may still be alive, several sources have confirmed that he is too small to afflict harm on humans and animals.

At a press conference following the announcement, Mayor Adrian Fenty praised The Atom for his courage, cunningness, and dedication to the Washington D.C. community. While Fenti has refused to endorse any of the several candidates for mayor this year, he seemed to allude to The Atom's "no problem too small" slogan when he mentioned the significance of the less-commonly discussed problems affecting D.C. residents every day.

Following the press conference, Montgomery County Police Chief Martin Polanski asked Americans to pray for the dead and their families. This, however, did not discourage pundits on several major cable news stations from forecasting a jump in public support for The Atom and his message of intelligent solutions to Washington D.C.'s many problems.

The Atom's Listening Tour Gets Positive Press

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if you've seen this, but I am really excited about the newest Washington Post article about The Atom's listening tour. Check it out below!

The Atom Concludes Listening Tour
By Ed Lindaur
The Washington Post
Sunday, July 5, 2009

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS - Turning the page on what many consider to be the most down-to-earth campaign Washington, D.C. has ever witnessed, Superhero Candidate for Mayor, The Atom, concluded his listening tour of the District last night.

Speaking to a small crowd in Columbia Heights, The Atom reaffirmed his main campaign message: that even in a city as busy as Washington, there is no problem too small for the next mayor to address, even if that mayor is a superhero.

"In a race where every candidate is a superhero," The Atom remarked to a lively crowd, "DC wants a candidate who can tackle real issues, big or small-and I mean that both literally and figuratively!"

The Atom, also known by the alias, Ryan Choi, is best known for his ability to shrink to any size, even to the subatomic level. This has played very well for DC residents, who fear that in a mayoral race-where half the candidates are national celebrities-the most important bread-and-butter issues are being left out of the discussion.

On Friday, July 10, Washington, D.C. residents will head to the polls to elect one of several DC Comic superheroes to be the city's next mayor.
